About me.

This portrait titled 'Thoughtful' is a quick self-portrait in acrylics of me during lock-down.

I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember...and that's a long time! When at school I did my, in them days, 'O-level' Art two years early and got an 'A' Grade, so maybe that set the scene.

​

After school I went on to do an art foundation course at Northampton College. From there on to Kingston University (then a polytechnic) to complete a BA honours course in graphics, specialising in illustration.

​

With my degree tucked under my arm I went to work as a creative and Art Director in the studios, marketing & advertising agencies in the West End of London.

​

Then eventually to running the creative show, becoming a Creative Director, heading up agency creative departments for more than 20 years.

​

Now settled in Hampshire and although still with a finger in the agency world, I've eventually grabbed the 'brush by the bristles' and now dedicating more time where it originally all started - painting and drawing.
